RE: How will current RV market affect RV shows?

I noticed at the St Paul FMCA show this year that there many associated products/service vendors missing. Lost of unused vendor booths compared to earlier experiences at national rallys. I can only imagine the impact at local shows. I always enjoy the unique must have products as much as viewing the new motorhomes. Always looking for more weight to challenge my carrying capacity.:W

RE: Battery charge while in storage

Our solar charging system does well keep batteries up to full charge while stored with no power access...until the white stuff comes a;ong and buried the face plates. Then the generator needs to top off every once and awhile. Last year I had a small issue with the generator and was unable top off in minus zero weather...froze them solid...really enjoyed my new batteries this year. :S

RE: Tire wear on towed vehicle

I replaced our CRV tires at about 45,000 miles and they really needed it. Put on 4 new michelins from sams and what a positive change. They are wearing well and might improved the ride. Cost about 400 bucks.

RE: Vibration at highway speed?

I also agree with U joint suggestion and also you will need someone to check ride height which can also impact drive train vibration as well as wear. At least inspect and grease u joints. This type of vibration problem does vary with speed.

RE: ORA Ozarks- Table Rock Lake

I think the OP is asking about Outdoor Resorts on Table Rock Lake in Blue Eye AR. It is on my short list to vist as I have been favorably impressed with other Outdoor properties.
I did hear cell phone service can be spotty there. Looks nice online.

RE: Badlands Trip

You may want to add Devils Tower to your list of whistle stops as well. The Badlands could be added as a stop on one of your travel legs as an overnight. I agee seven days would be better if you are seeing all the sights described.

RE: 6 volt batteries

Figure about a hundred bucks apiece for normal Interstate brands which you can buy from any RV dealer or camping world.

I 35 Bridge now open!!

Our new I 35 bridge over the Mississippi opened this am in about 13 months from last years disaster. There still is some major paving going on in the vicinity but that should soon pass. No more detours...come on down.:)

RE: questions on fleetwood discovery quality

If you are considering the Discovery, I would also consider looking at the Excursion and Providence. They offer more power as well as more standard amenities that you will likely have added on to your base model Discovery as options. We found the Excursion to be a great value. Some killer deals out there on new 08's.
Good luck.

RE: GOODYEAR tires

I believe that there may be a slight tread advantage on the G169 with more rubber on the outside tread. I lost two of my 670 on outside wear at only 23000 miles...and I was supposedly aligned at 11000 miles. I would not hesitate if I were buying 6 tires at one time.

RE: RV Park Reviews

I do not think that you will find a more comprehensive and complete listing of campground reviews anywhere than RVPARKREVIEWS.com. You can even sort out varied opinions by reviewing that posters previous reviews of other sites.
I do not leave home without it.

RE: Wyoming - eastbound 14 / 16

Rt 16 is the powder river pass. Not too bad. I drove it westboand in MH towing toad. I would warn you that it is very lengthy compared to many passes. Do not let it sneak up on you as you approach the town of Buffalo. Keep your brakes cool and in reserve. Yes this is the lesser of the two options.

RE: Sioux Falls to Cheyenne via Rushmore

RafterJ has great big sites with easy sat. access on the lower end. The wyoming that you should see is going be at the west end of the state in my opinion. (But I may stand corrected) it is all great country. You will love RNP as well.

RE: Green Bay Wisconsin north through Michigan UP

We travelled across WI on US 8 and UP on US 2 this summer in our MH and it was great. Lots of scenic pull offs, fuel availability was good (fill up before you get to MI ...very pricy), and the scenery was great. Got our best mileage ever and we will do more off interstate travel in future.
We crossed the Bridge and spent a week in scenic Traverse City. Very nice place to stop and Mich has some great RV resorts if you are into that sort of thing.
